Ever since we moved into our current house, the garage has always been a big mess. It was already a big mess when we moved into the house since the previous owner seemed to love collecting a lot of objects and stash them in the garage in no discernible order whatsoever. When we moved in, we managed to throw out the things we didn’t want or need and we kept some of the things that we think we can use. Unfortunately, since there was no order to start with, we barely managed to get it organized.
After a few years, we also began accumulating our own junk and objects and most of them ended in the garage also. And as much as we want to clean the place up, we find the task extremely daunting and hard to imagine. The kitchen is an integral part of our home. Quite frankly, it is my most beloved area. I guess I grew to like the kitchen since I stay here a lot during the day; I fix up everybody’s meals, lunch for school and work, and prepare dinner. And add to that fact that I really do enjoy cooking, I guess the kitchen has really grew on me. That is why I just can’t stand it if something is amiss in my kitchen.
Light source, furniture arrangement, and even theme and ambiance is very important to me. That is why when my husband and I decided to renovate the home, I chose the kitchen as a personal project since I know that only I will know what I want from my very own kitchen.

Our house has barely changed over the years; only the addition of a few minor furniture here and there and the appearances of splotched up areas are the only noticeable difference since the first time we bought it. However, after 9 years of seeing the same scenario every day, my wife and I decided that it is about time to remodel our home. Not only will we need the new look, but we need to fix the house anyway since there are small cracks in the paint of the walls anyway.
Our children are also supportive of our planned endeavor with our eldest son who is already working promised to shoulder the repainting expenses. Our other kids promised to help with the looking and canvasing of the new furniture and they are as excited as us with the concept of remodeling the home. Fine China is a very popular piece of tableware that symbolizes extravagance and elegance. I remember back then, whenever we went to my grandparent’s place for weekend dinner, they would always use the fine china set that was usually on display. Dinner for that night would usually be filled with lots of good food and talking. After that, I would often go out and play with my cousins while the adults drank and talked about adult things.
Years later, I am often reminded by those events whenever I go down the house; the cabinet that used to contain the fine china is now in our house after my grandparents passed away. Every time I look at it, I still smile and remember all the things that we did back then. Now, weekend dinner with the relatives rarely happen and we rarely even use the fine china. There are times that we do use them for special occasions, but most of the time we just use paper plates out of convenience sake.
When I get married and have a house of my own, I plan to buy my own set and put it in my house, that is why as early as now, I am looking for places that sell them. I have always been a big fan of baking; I always enjoy making baked goodies for the family. I am also fond of using the oven to prepare dinner especially if there is an occasion worth celebrating.
